Receipt printing with LightKitch
LightKitch is an order aggregation platform. With LightKitch, the receipt printer is installed and configured by LightKitch, not from your Expedy console. Get in touch with them to have your printer activated.
Who does what
| Party | Responsibility |
|---|---|
| Expedy | Supplies the cloud printer, its connectivity (Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G SIM) and the console where you follow your print jobs |
| LightKitch | Pairs the printer with your account, sets the receipt layout and switches the service on |
Getting your printer activated
- Order your machine, or use the one you already have
- Contact LightKitch and tell them you want to print your orders on an Expedy cloud printer
- LightKitch handles the pairing and the receipt layout on their side
- Once activated, orders print automatically, with nothing left to do on your part
If your printer already appears in your Expedy account, give LightKitch its API Printer UID, shown on the printer page in the API Keys & UID card of the Expedy console.
Once it is live
From the Expedy console you can, at any time:
- Check that the machine is reachable, with Check Status on the printer page
- Review every job in Print Jobs History
- Follow your monthly usage and change plan, the FREE plan being capped at 50 print requests per month
Anything about the order content or the ticket layout goes through LightKitch, since the connection lives on their side.
